To say I live an adventurous lifestyle is a bit of an understatement! I love to travel and I love helping and working with animals. Originally from the UK, I live in beautiful Northern California with my friendly German Shepherd, Loki and two cats – Saffy and Monty.

Prior to my experience as a VA, I graduated from Swansea University, Wales with a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology, and then I went on to study a Master’s degree in Equine Science with the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Since then, I had been working as a part time Veterinary Technician. 

In addition to my work as a Veterinary Technician, I have also undertaken many other projects outside of the veterinary field that has allowed me to develop a lot of the skills I offer today as a VA. I worked as a Personal Assistant to a Head of Department for a London council, undertook different types of administration in financial, human resources, and telecommunication organizations, as well as managed the front office and guest relations at a Californian dude ranch. My family’s (still in the UK – but avid fans of WhatsApp and Skype) and friends’ encouragement and love has allowed me to create and build Danielle Laura | Virtual Assistant Services into a thriving business.

When I am not busy working away in my office, you can find me in the great outdoors. I have a keen interest in wildlife and conservation, which at one point saw me volunteering in Tanzania, Africa as a research diver, and at The Wild Horse Sanctuary in California taking care of 30 saddle horses and feeding 300 wild mustangs living on the 5000 acre sanctuary. I love hiking with friends and Loki, my dog, whilst my cats either ‘veg’ out at home or stalk the local lizard and vole community. Travelling, exploring the world with my camera and working with my horses – Dora the Explorer and Whiskey also feature in my down time.
